Block of the Month (BOM) is one of the most fun and exciting parts of our Guild meetings.  BOM gives members a chance to try different types of blocks and different piecing techniques (not to mention the chance of winning all of those beautiful blocks!).  Each month in the Redwood Empire Quilters Guild (REQG) Newsletter, the quilt block pattern for the month (blocks are usually announced one month in advance to give plenty of time for construction) will be included along with a color theme to be used in constructing the block.  If you would like to participate, follow the directions and make a block (or more than one block if you choose).  Bring the completed block to the Guild meeting and deliver it to the BOM table.  You will put your name on a ticket which then gives you the chance to win all the blocks!  Some months there may be more than one winner, but this will be announced the month ahead.
